Easily one of my favourite brands right now. Durkl is a Washington DC brand and it’s hard to find them over here in the UK but a few of the finest pieces from their new Summer 2012 Collection has snuck over. They include the ‘Memory’ camper 5-panel hats and some of their logo tees and crew necks.
Released today, the FucknFilthy new collection is full of tshirts, tank tops and caps. There’s plenty of graphics to catch the eye, all printed in good quality. This is a brand to look for in the future.
Rotterdam sneaker store “Woei” are celebrating their fifth year anniversary with a collaboration with Asics on their renowned Gel Lyte III which they’ve named, “Cervidae”. The shoe design has been influenced by the deer family which is found in Europe with a brown, tan and white colourway. The usual eyelets have been replaced with metal trail hooks to make it extra special.
Europe release is on June 30th.
Worldwide release, sadly, not until late on July 7th.
It’s approaching summer but that hasn’t stopped Nike from releasing shoes with colour ways more set for the coming autumn. These free runs compromise of a hyperfuse seamless upper with a mesh olive inlay and suede overlays to compliment. These are all bought together with the speckle midsole.
Continuing with their 20th anniversary celebrations, Vans will be releasing these forest green edition of the half cabs. We saw a suede tan version earlier this year, here we have a soft green with the expected black lining and mesh tongues along with the white rubber sole.
We’re seeing quite a few collaborations with Saucony at the moment. I’m not complaining though, so keen on them. Sneaker Freaker are celebrating their 10 year anniversary with their updated version of the 1994 Saucony Grid 9000. They have been nicknamed the “Bushwacker” because of the combination of mesh and suede along with the tubular laces, far from the Saucony we know.
One of my favourite labels by The North Face here. The Japanese brand have a number of floral print patterns on different pieces of menswear to offer this summer. I have been a fan of their rucksacks for a while and the one shoulder floral is perfect for the summer months.
New for this years Spring/Summer, the 998 in a blue denim. They are made in the USA and are being described as a premium pair of kicks with plenty of upper mesh and suede with hints of white and grey. These are finished off as per usual with the New Balance technology of ABZORB cushioning and non-marking outsole.
So, here’s a sneak preview of the next collaboration between the Berlin retailer, Solebox, and Saucony. The Shadow 5000 has been revamped to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the boutique opening. It’s been updated in three different colours out of suede and mesh.
Earlier this week Foot Patrol announced the collaboration between Saucony and Packers. Coming soon to the store, these outdoor theme kicks have the old school colourways of Packers mixed with the Saucony’s runner Grid 9000. One colourway is earthy whilst the other is lighter, possibly for those sunny days. I am very excited for this release, Saucony are doing brilliantly with their collaborations.
T-Level have released a collection of leopard print bags fit for any lifestyle. Whether you are on the go or travelling, they’ve perfected it and made it eye-catching. So far in 2012, we’ve all been pretty keen on the leopard print and along with the simplicity in design of the bag, it works. There are seven different kinds of backpacks as well as a waist or sling bag and two accessary pouches.
A Bathing Ape have released a more in depth look at their Summer 2012 Collection. It has been said that BAPE founder, NIGO, has given his direct input for the last time on any season. The camo prints in a variety of colours, repeated prints and simple design what we know from BAPE are still apparent. They’ve also included some of their upcoming collaborations including Dr Martens.
Now available to buy online via the A Bathing Ape store.
Levi’s commuter range finally launched in London the other week. The launch of the collection took place at Look Mum No Hands, where the line was on show and to purchase. For the promotional video, Levi’s teamed up with the London based fixed gear crew, The 5th Floor. It’s nicely shot and shows the lead up to the launch party, stopping by Levi’s shop to change and Tokyo Fixed Gear.
A few days ago we had a sneak preview but Vans have now officially released photos of their collaboration with Paris fashion brand Kenzo. The era silhouette has been used and made vibrant with the colourways chosen on each three for the net pattern.
Release due mid-May, continuing on till July once each three have dropped.
